As a fundraiser for the Public Theater in NYC, Sting hosted a series of intimate concerts, performing work from his upcoming album and Broadway musical The Last Ship.

Sting's The Last Ship was a personal and emotional collection of musical storytelling and character-driven songs based on his own upbringing in the shadow of the Newcastle shipyards in Wallsend.
For every song in the concert a custom animated backdrop was created and projected behind the musicians and onto stage elements during the performance. I personally animated as well as led a small team of animators in the creaion of these video set-pieces
I created a series of water color paintings and archival photo collages as the visual foundation for the subtly evolving and morphing animations that estabished the scenic mood for each song.
