As a fundraiser for the Public Theater in NYC, Sting hosted a series of intimate concerts, performing work from his upcoming album and Broadway musical The Last Ship
— a body of musical storytelling and character-driven songs based on his own upbringing in the shadow of the Newcastle shipyards in Wallsend.

➔ Animated Photo-Collage Films
➔ Animated Water-Color Painting Films
For every song in the concert a custom animated backdrop was created and projected behind the musicians during the performance.
I created a series of water color paintings and archival photo collages as the visual foundation for the subtly evolving and morphing animations that estabished the scenic mood for each song.
